Materials
Hook: 4.5mm
Yarn: I used Scheepjes Softfun in Pumpkin and Tawny which is a cotton/acrylic blend but any DK yarn can be used.
Stitches used in this pattern (UK Terms)
Double Crochet (dc): Insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull through loop, yarn over and pull through both loops on hook.
Half Treble Crochet (htr): Yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull through loop, yarn over and pull through all 3 loops on hook.
Treble Crochet (tr): Yarn over and insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull through loop, yarn over and pull through two loops, yarn over and pull through the remaining two loops.

Foundation: ch3 and ss to first ch to join.
Round 1: ch1, 8dc in the centre, ss to join.
Round 2: ch2, tr in the same stitch, 2tr in the next 7 stitches and ss to join. [16]
Round 3: *ch1, dc, dc, dc, 2htr, 2htr, dc, dc, dc*. Repeat ** ss to join. [20]
Round 4: ch1, htr, 2tr, 2tr, 3tr, 3tr, 2tr, 2htr, htr, dc, dc, dc, dc, htr, 2htr, 2tr, 3tr, 3tr, 2tr, 2tr, htr, ss (36)
Round 5: ch1, dc, dc, 2htr, 2htr, 2tr in the next 9 stitches, htr in the next 3 stitches, dc, ss, ss, dc, htr in the next 3 stitches, 2tr in the next 9 stitches, 2htr, 2htr, dc, dc, ss and fasten off.
Stork
Ch6, dc in 2nd chain from hook, 2htr, 2tr, 2tr, tr in last stitch then fasten off.
Use the ends to sew the stork onto the pumpkin.
