Sava Stripe Crochet Blanket

This blanket has been so much fun to make. I am forever collecting WIPs, and I wanted a pattern that was quick to make; it needed to have a specific purpose for me, using some embellishments but nothing too over the top.

So here it is! The Sava Stripe Blanket, named after our new caravan, is my campfire lap blanket to keep the chills off me (and the kids) in the evening as we sit around the campfire.

The finished blanket is 32 x 43 inches. It is super thick and chunky, and the popcorn stitches do POP!

Yarn A: Stylecraft Special XL Super Chunky Graphite 600g

Yarn B: Stylecraft Special XL Tweed Boysenberry 400g

Hook size: 10mm (N/15)

Tension gauge: 9tr = 10cm 5 rows = 10cm

Chain (ch)

Double crochet (dc)

Treble (tr)

Front post treble (fptr): Yarn over, insert your hook into the space below between A and through to space B (see image 1 and 2). Yarn over again. Pull the yarn back through the spaces. You should have 3 loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through through two loops, yarn over and pull through the last two loops on the hook

Back post treble (bptr): Yarn over, from behind insert your hook into the space below between A and through to space B (see image 1 and 3). Yarn over again. Pull the yarn back through the spaces. You should have 3 loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through through two loops, yarn over and pull through the last two loops on the hook.

4-treble-crochet popcorn stitch (pop): Work 4 treble crochet (tr) stitches in the same stitch. Drop the loop from the hook. Insert your hook from back to front into the top of the first treble stitch of the group and through the dropped loop with your hook. You have two loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through both loops.
